Tuto: repairing a wheelchair wheel

Author of the article: Comme les Autres

The association Comme les Autres ensures the continuity of the reconstruction process of its beneficiaries by accompanying them, at the time of their return to "ordinary" life, in their global remobilisation: physical, psychological, social and professional. Their actions enable people with disabilities following a life accident to bounce back towards a fulfilling social and professional life. They also contribute to the necessary changes in the way people with disabilities are viewed.

Perhaps you have already punctured a bicycle wheel? A car wheel? It's a pain, isn't it? Even more so when your wheels are your legs! To enable our beneficiaries to cope with any situation, we have organised an express wheelchair repair workshop.

Workshop "I'm tired" organised by the Ile-de-France branch

During the "I have a flat tire" workshop, six of our beneficiaries were able to learn the basics of repairing a flat tire and are now able to do so with a minimum of material. They left with a lot of air! We thought it would be a shame not to share this with our community, so we filmed the workshop.

Below is our first tutorial on how to repair a wheel in less than 10 minutes.

A big thank you to the disability advisor who initiated the workshop!
