ACCESSIBILITY: Find all our addresses on our map Mapstr !

In our previous article, we introduced you to Madrid from a gastronomic perspective with our 5 favourite markets. We advise you to take your strength into account as the streets of Madrid are steep to say the least! However, if you want to make an effort, you'll have to take comfort in the many rooftops that are scattered all over the city and offer you splendid views!

We give you our 4 favourites right here.

Hotel ME - Plaza Santa Ana

In the Santa Ana square, we strongly advise you to have a bite to eat at the Piropo. With its kitchen open all day, you can enjoy a salad or some tapas. Then wander through the children's playgrounds to theME hotel. The view from the terrace is limited, but there's nothing like drinking vermouth, Madrid's signature spirit, to the sound of jazz.

Hotel ME : Each floor opens at different times of the day. The main times are from 9.30am until midnight! Accessibility: It is fully wheelchair accessible with a lift and there are also adapted toilets.

Piropo : A restaurant offering delicious Mediterranean dishes. Visit here their entire menu. Prices: Expect to pay between €8 and €24 for a la carte dishes and tapas. Accessibility: It is fully wheelchair accessible and the toilets are adapted.

Faro de Moncloa

Right next to theuniversity, in the northwest of Madrid, the Moncloa lighthouse dominates the surrounding area. To get to the top, you don't need to be afraid of heights... The journey is made in a fully glazed lift! From the top of its 92 meters, we loved this viewpoint to play with the many possible shots.

Faro de Moncloa: It is open from 9.30 am to 8 pm from Tuesday to Saturday. Price: €4 per person and €2 per PRM. Accessibility: It is fully wheelchair accessible with a lift and there are also adapted toilets.

Círculo de Bellas Artes

Not far from the Puerta del Sol, the Museum of Fine Arts houses a terrace under the protective eye of Athena. The art deco style of the building blends perfectly with the Azotea restaurant. Sit comfortably on a blade of grass, even a synthetic one, in the shade of the paintings and you're done!

Círculo de Bellas Artes : It is open Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 1am, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 2am and Sunday from 10am to 1am. Find their map here (in Spanish). Price: 5€ per person. Accessibility: It is fully wheelchair accessible. To access the adapted toilets, you must ask the agent at the reception to put the ramp in place.

Hotel Riu - Plaza de España

On the Plaza de España, you can't miss it! The 27 floors of the Riu Hotel are breathtaking from below... Climb the lift and reach the highest terrace in Madrid in a few seconds! If you arrive early enough, you can sit on the edge of the roof! We recommend you have one of their cocktails, they are delicious. For the more adventurous, a glass footbridge has been built above the void, guaranteed sensations...

Hotel Riu: It is open every day from 11am to 1am. Rates: Weekdays: 5 € from 11am to 5pm and 10 € from 5pm to midnight. Weekends and public holidays: €10. Accessibility: It is fully wheelchair accessible and there are also adapted toilets.
